Peyton's new hangout spot

Peyton was playing in his room today and I went in to see what he was up to and found him on his bookshelf that Papa made him. He took all the stuffed animals off the shelf and then climbed in and had a new little spot for himself. So silly!

Peyton's Big Boy Haircut!

The time has finally come to take Peyton for a real haircut! After almost two years our little man has enough hair to cut! Scott took the clippers to his head a few times, but I was determined to let it grow and fill out. I was able to trim the back and by his ears a few times but now he needs it to be cut right and it looks good! Peyton was awesome while he got his haircut! He loved that he got to sit in the chair by himself, that there were "fishies" on the coverup, and that he got to hold his own comb. He sat mostly still, just turning to look at what was going around him. He had a huge smile when she used the clippers to trim his ears and neck and loved having her blow his hair with the blowdryer! Mr. Peyton is one good lookin' little boy with his new haircut!

Sesame Street Live & Water Fun

We had quite the fun weekend this last Saturday and Sunday! On Saturday my mom and I took Peyton to his 1st Sesame Street Live! In the world of Peyton, Elmo is King! We have books, videos, stuffed animals that are all Elmo! He is the magic word in our house. Needless to say Peyton LOVED seeing a huge dancing Elmo with all his friends Big Bird, Ernie, Abby, Zoe, Cookie, and the rest of the gang. It was a ton of fun watching him be so in to it! Then on Sunday Scott blew up the baby pool in the backyard and Peyton had a blast running around the yard, getting in and out of the water, and having Scott swing him up high and then splash down into the water. A fun weekend for all!

Peyton's new truck!

Peyton got a new mini-power wheel this week. It is just his size and only goes one direction, forward, and he just pushes the button on the handle to make it go. Peyton calls it his "truck" and he had a blast getting to ride it! He would take it over the rock and curbing in our backyard and all around the grassy area. Our little dare devil even figured out how to ride it standing up! When he would get to one side of the yard he would pretend to fall off on his back into the grass and go "woah!" while holding his hat. He also had to wear his hat that has a truck on it while riding! So silly!
Trucking along!

didn't quite get how to steer so dad had to help (he did take out a plant and light though)

Easter Bunny

Today I took Peyton to the mall in Mesa to see the Easter Bunny and he had a great time! He loved getting to see the "big bunny" and the flowers and decorations they had all around while you wait in line. Although he still loves Santa and thinks that any holiday decorations are Santa, I was finally able to get him to say bunny by the time we got up to see him. Luckily we went early enough in the day that we only had to wait about 10 min. so he was in a good mood when he got up there. Peyton did great with the bunny giving him high fives and kisses, but Mr. Serious doesn't smile for the camera! I promise he really did love the bunny! It was a really fun day for both Peyton and Mommy!

Checking out the flowers and seeing the bunny for the first time!

Not sure what to think now that he is with the bunny

After seeing the Easter Bunny Peyton rode on a little mini carousel and got to steer his own boat!

Happy Birthday PaPa!

I know it's a little late but I finally have the pictures from when we celebrated my dad's birthday last weekend. Peyton loves his Papa and had a great time on the new swing and Grandma and Grandpa's house, playing with the new bus toy they got him and just being with his Papa! Happy Birthday Dad!

Three wheeling with Grandpa & Chasing Molly

Last Sunday we were at my parents house and Peyton and my dad had fun outside with his little three wheel bike. Peyton loves his "Pa Pa" and had a ton of fun having Grandpa push him on his bike. Peyton did really good too staying on the seat and keeping his feet on the foot rest, he even started to get the hang of steering. After bike riding Peyton still had energy to burn so what better then chasing my parents lab Molly. Poor Molly is quite old and doesn't run so much anymore and is pretty much deaf but she is a sweetheart and let Peyton grab her tail and run after her. I don't know how much Molly liked it, but Peyton thought it was great!

A fun Saturday

Scott's mom came down to our house today and Peyton was showing her his "house" and slide and what a big boy he is. We all had a nice time going out to eat and then playing with Peyton. Here are Peyton and Grandma in Peyton's playhouse.

Peyton showing Grandma how he goes down the slide. He went down the normal way for Grandma but he's been known to slide down head first!

Peyton loves his daddy! Pretty cute boys in their blue striped shirts!

Now that he is a little taller he loves to close doors, any door. No more will any door be left open, Peyton will make sure they are ALL closed! It is cute though when he can't get it closed with the doorknob he will crouch down and grab underneath the door to close it all they way.

Peyton "walking" on his knees. Our silly boy started this for the first time tonight. He giggles as he goes, until he topples over!

Scott turned on Handy Manny and Peyton was sucked in.The world stands still for Handy Manny in our house! Peyton LOVES Handy Manny, and we love using it to say "finish your breakfast/lunch/dinner and we can watch Handy Manny." Grandma Campbell even got him his own Handy Manny tool set and light up t-shirt for Christmas!

First the recorder, now the drums!

Our little man is all about noise! As long as he can make it or dance to it, he love's it! Scott's brother Bryan came down yesterday and the two of them started rocking out with rock band. Scott was on guitar and Bryan on drums. Being an awesome uncle Bryan let Peyton hold the drum sticks and helped him hit the drum part. Peyton sat there the whole time and had fun with Uncle Bryan. Our musical prodigy now can "play" TWO instruments! We went over to my parents house tonight and Peyton was playing with a Christmas mouse that dances and sings which Peyton loved. Here are some pics of the "Music Man" hittin' the skins and dancing on his grandma's lap.

Watch out Tommy Lee!
