First the recorder, now the drums!

Our little man is all about noise! As long as he can make it or dance to it, he love's it! Scott's brother Bryan came down yesterday and the two of them started rocking out with rock band. Scott was on guitar and Bryan on drums. Being an awesome uncle Bryan let Peyton hold the drum sticks and helped him hit the drum part. Peyton sat there the whole time and had fun with Uncle Bryan. Our musical prodigy now can "play" TWO instruments! We went over to my parents house tonight and Peyton was playing with a Christmas mouse that dances and sings which Peyton loved. Here are some pics of the "Music Man" hittin' the skins and dancing on his grandma's lap.

Watch out Tommy Lee!

Musical Genius

Scott found a recorder this afternoon and gave it to Peyton. Our brilliant, gifted child was able to "play" this wonderful instrument after about 5min. of having it. We now get to hear the beautiful sounds of the recorder mixed with laughter while Peyton runs around the house blowing into the recorder and thinking he is sooo funny! He is one silly, happy little boy!

Peyton Pants Head

Having a 1 1/2 year old never is boring and Peyton is always on the go! Peyton figured out how to take off his pants today and decided they would be better on his head. I don't know how he thinks of these things! He was pretty funny running around pulling them over his eyes and walking around and then pulling them up to smile and laugh at us and then say "hat". So silly! This last week we have heard more words that actually sound more like words - "shoe" instead of "shhh" and he got to have his second hair cut from dad! He is growing up so fast! The other night he found his pair of sunglasses and had to wear them until he went to bed and was pretty cute drinking out of his sippy and wearing his shades!

The pants head monster!

so cool!

Two cool guys!

Super Bowl Sunday

We spent super bowl Sunday at Scott's brother John's house and had a great time, even though the Cardinal's lost. Scott had a bet going that if the Cardinals won he would have to grow a mustache so he was happy with the Steeler's down to the wire win! There was a mini birthday celebration during half time for mine and John's birthday's which are a few days apart. It was a fun Sunday and despite the score a good time was had by all!

We're Blogging!

We now have a blog! This year is off to a great start and life with an 18 month old keeps you busy! Peyton is now more active and daring than ever! He has figured out how to climb onto everything; chairs, toys, furniture, on top of a toy and then leap onto the sofa (that was interesting) and anything that can get him a little higher; also now knows how to spin himself around in a circle getting dizzy and throw up all over his clothes, thank goodness that one happened at daycare! He is also so silly and laughs at everything! Earlier today he was playing and got his sippy cup stuck in his shirt. At first this caused him to be upset that he couldn't get it out, but then he made the best of it and kept playing with it there. He also got to play with crayons for the first time to day when we went to lunch and other than an orange mark on the side of his head the rest of the drawing was on the paper!
Coloring, or trying to at least. He's got the right idea of it.
Taking a break to check the score of the KU game. They beat Iowa State, go Jayhawks!
Playing with sippy stuck in shirt. I wonder if I can get him to do this everytime... no more searching for the lost sippy cup

Peyton was sooo tired the other night that he zonked out while eating, even though we got his shirt off he wouldn't let go of that last bit in his hand!
